SWIFT ADJUDICATION OF GALWAY RING ROAD NEEDED – GALWAY CHAMBER 01/02/2023
Galway Chamber has called for swift adjudication from An Bord Pleanála (ABP) in their reconsideration of the Galway Ring Road, following the High Court ruling on the matter. The current planning application, which was originally submitted in 2018, will now revert to the same position it was at in June 2021, after ABP’s planning inspector made a submission on the proposed project. The reconsideration is required after ABP did not take into account the Government’s new climate plan when they made

“VIBRANCY OF GALWAY” HELPS MAKE IT NUMBER ONE DESTINATION FOR REMOTE WORKERS- GALWAY CHAMBER
The “vibrancy of Galway” was always going to make it an extremely attractive location for remote workers, according to Galway Chamber. The Chamber was speaking after the National Remote Working Survey from the Western Development Commission and NUI Galway found that Galway was the most popular county for remote workers who had relocated. A total of 11.2% of those who had moved counties had opted for Galway, with Cork second on 8.9%, followed by Kildare (7.7%), Dublin (6.4%) and Mayo (5.4%). The
