We will hear from Marilyn Gaughan-Reddan about how Galway was chosen as the European Capital of Culture in 2020 and why it is so important for ancient cities to celebrate their diverse, modern populations, and how Galway managed to achieve this successfully through a year of robust cultural programming.

Marilyn is really proud to have been part of a number of incredible cultural designations for Galway in Ireland including; The Designation of Galway as European Capital of Culture for 2020, The designation of Galway as a UNESCO City of Film and the designation of Galway as a Music Generation location.
